2024 年的夏令营为期两周,主题是 “中华美食” 和 “中国传统民俗”。
在第一周,孩子们亲手制作了多种中国传统美食,包括饺子、包子、粽子、月饼等,在动手过程中学习食材、步骤与文化故事。
第二周,孩子们体验了丰富的中国传统民俗手工,如植物印染、拓印、纸艺等,了解这些艺术形式背后的历史与文化意义。
整个夏令营不仅让孩子们学到知识、提升动手能力,也让他们在有趣的文化体验中更加了解中国,建立自信与创造力。
The 2024 summer camp ran for two weeks with the themes “Chinese Cuisine” and “Traditional Chinese Folk Arts.”
During the first week, students made a variety of classic Chinese foods—dumplings, steamed buns, rice dumplings (zongzi), mooncakes, and more—while learning about ingredients, cooking steps, and the cultural stories behind each dish.
In the second week, students explored traditional Chinese folk arts such as plant dyeing, rubbing/relief printing, and paper crafts, gaining hands-on experience and understanding the cultural significance of these practices.
The summer camp not only strengthened students’ skills and cultural knowledge but also encouraged creativity, confidence, and joyful engagement with Chinese culture.
